March:

Thurs. March 13th - Monthly Ruritan Meeting meets at 7:00 pm at the Community Center - Topic "The Big Sweep" Volunteer Fredericks Annual Beautification Project given by Mike Fauber.

Sat. March 15th 8-10:30am- Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt - At the Community Center- Childrens activities will start at 10:00.

Tues. March 18, 2008 7:00pm - Garden Club Meeting St. Luke’s Lutheran Church
Dr. Carroll Shry, Landscaping instructor at the Frederick County Career and Technology Center and co-author of "Introductory Horticulture." All are welcome for more information Contact Andrea and Ryan Williams 301-874-2776

April:

Sat. April 5th - Potomac River Watershed Clean-up 9-11 AM at the Lander Boat Ramp. Come out and help pick up trash between the C&O Canal towpath and the Potomac River at Lander, MD. This is part of PORR partnership with Alice Ferguson Foundation, dedicated to making the Potomac clean & healthy. For more information contact Marcel Aillery 301-874-2652  Aillery@msn.com.

Sat: April 26th - This year’s Big Sweep
A small group of volunteers will participate in our own “Little Sweep” by getting together a team of six for the minimum to clean up the Community Center grounds.

June:

Sun: June 8th - Potomac River Trip with Historian John Phillips and River and Trail Outfitters the cost is 72.50 a person includes equipment, guided history tour, transportation and lunch. All are welcome children under over 10 must be accompanied by an adult for more information Contact Katrina Lehker at 301-874-0363 commitment/payment needed by 5/1.

September:

Sat. Sept 27th - Catoctin Aqueduct Benefit 5K Run-Walk - start from Point of Rocks on the C&O Canal Towpath as part of the Ruritans History in Motion for more information contact Pepper Scotto 301-834-9907

Sat. Dec 6th -Breakfast with Santa - Ruritans will provide pancake breakfast and visit from Santa with childrens crafts and games.
